These are the entry-level, inexpensive wines from the regional appellations like Bourgogne Blanc and Rouge, Coteaux Bourguignon (some Gamay blended in), Hautes Cotes, Maconnais, or Chalonnaise.

We aim for an average value of about $30 a bottle, and the cost of the case is around $360.

Generally it consists of three red wines, and or three white wines, two or four bottles of each according to your choice.

This subscription gets you a case of 12 bottles twice a year, shipped in Spring and Fall.

With climate change these appellations are getting stronger and stronger. There are no weak wines in this club, they are all tasty.

With this club we’re looking to showcase very good village wines from the front-line on both Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.

We are also frequently able to include 1er crus from some of the less fashionable parts of the Côte, like Maranges, Santenay, Savigny or Ladoix.

As our longest running club we give you access to some the nicest gems in our portfolio year after year.

The recent additions of Marchand-Tawse and Francois Legros, both based on the Côte de Nuits, has expanded our access to the heart of Burgundy, that is the 1er and Grand Crus, particularly on the Cote de Nuits.

These are arguably the best wines in the world, and while we will not pretend to be putting tip-top grand crus into the Cru Club, we now find we have really sound top-flight 1er crus from the front rank villages

We often receive allocations of just about enough quantity to offer a six pack of roughly $100 wines, as a Club selection, twice a year.

The Cru Club is solely red wines. There simply are not enough whites at this level to go round! 

Officially launhced in Spring 2026, our first Cru Club selection will include 1er crus from Morey St Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot, Aloxe-Corton, Volnay and Beaune.

These will always be compelling wines that we think will make you want to get into the producers' portfolios in real depth.
